At the end of this month I will be going out on Maternity leave. I really can’t believe that it is January and our little baby girl will be here next month. Time has gone by so fast and I have had such a wonderful pregnancy. Even the last few weeks of getting bigger, hurting back and little things I can find to grumble about seem so insignificant and surprisingly such a joy. This is such a short phase and I really am trying to enjoy every moment of it, knowing that it will be over all too soon. Today at work my sweet coworkers surprised me with a shower! I thought that I was going to a meeting in our 2nd floor lounge and I walk in and there is pink EVERYWHERE! It was so sweet and such a great time to be together and talk about what is to come. The cake was delicious the game was fun and everything was so thoughtful. They were so generous and had a few gifts and a gift card for us, which was such a blessing. I am so blessed and grateful for the ways that the Lord has lavished and encouraged me with the provision of others during this time. I am so undeserving of all the kindness that was shown today. I think about people who have babies and are all by themself, feeling yucky and lonely. Friends, work, gifts, coworkers and even little favors are something that I do not deserve. With God’s grace I will get through the next few weeks, labor, and a few months of no sleep; but there is so much to be thankful for and I am so excited and ready to be a mom (and not have such a big belly)!
To top of this Monday Gavin surprised me with beautiful girly flowers. This has been a good day!
