I have been wracking my brain all morning about something to write about, and alas…. I am not inspired. Oh well. Life isn’t always Martha Stewart. Too bad. Either way I will just ramble about some things that are going on right now! Yippee for you! Thanks for being a good sport.
- Today I am 15 weeks pregnant! Wow time is flying. The baby is the size of an orange and doing well. Praise the Lord. I am definitely showing and am excited to find out if it’s a boy or girl, only a few more weeks!
- I just finished an awesome book Treasuring God in our traditions by Noel Piper. It was a great look at what we do in our families, why we do them and who is the focus. Knowing a baby is on the way, Gavin and I have begun to think about what kinds of traditions we will have and this went along perfectly with our discussion. - This year I am going to be a High School Discussion Leader at church and I am so excited. I started looking over the book we will be discussing and it really got me excited for the year. I missed these girls last year and am excited to join them again.
- I’m not sure if its pregnancy or what, but the fruit this season has been really awesome. Stone fruits have been a hit and I have been eating 3 or 4 a day, yum. I wish I had one right now.
- Pinterest.com is a ridiculously addicting website of people’s favorite things. I love scrolling through the pictures and seeing how clever people are, the wonderful food and great ideas. It really is addicting, so tread lightly.
- My sister is having a baby next month and I can hardly believe it. Her and Matt will be awesome parents and I am excited to meet this little baby that has been growing inside of her. Their life will change so much and it will be a joy to begin this new chapter with them.
- My mom and dad are gone for a week, (2 weeks? I forget, whoops!) at my Aunt and Uncles Colorado Cabin. I would like to have a cabin someday. I’m just saying…
- Next week Gavin and I will have been married for a WHOLE YEAR! WOW that went fast. We are growing and learning everyday. This year has brought sorrow and tremendous joy and overall has been wonderful. We are excited to celebrate and get on with year 2!
- Currently I am overseeing the volunteers for the Walnut Creek Half Marathon. This is a big job. Even bigger knowing I will be 7 months pregnant the race day. I have a lot to do!
- Speaking of running, I would love to do the Nike Woman’s Half Marathon someday, hopefully next year. I almost tried to walk it this year but decided against it, chalk it up to growing in maturity… hopefully. actually all I want is the Tiffany’s necklace at the end.
- Getting into a routine is hard. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, work, recreation. It is definitely a balance. Most of it boils down to me being lazy, or not disciplined. awesome. i’ll get right on that.
- My cousin and his wife moved to town! It will be so fun to see them more regularly. I pray they get settled in, feel welcome, and find NorthCreek has home.
- We would really like a dog, I think I might ask my landlord. In reality, I don’t need a dog right now, so maybe I’ll hold off.
- I would also like to sell my car… any takers? 2007 Mustang.
- Gavin would love to get a job. We are praying that this guy calls him soon! The Lord always provides, sometimes in different ways than we expect.
- It is neat to trust the Lord and see what He does in our life and those around us. Weddings, babies, changes, moves, sanctification are all fun to see in our lives. What a joy to live in community and bear one another’s joys and burdens! We love our community group, church, family, friends and co-workers!
- It will be so fun to be a mom! And a huge responsibility, but kids are so fun! Going on adventures, teaching them about Jesus, having a family, listening to the things they say and do, all the fun to come, we are so excited!
- Gavin’s dad bought us a BBQ, it is AWESOME we LOVE it. Thanks John!
- I am in process of planning a shower for my sister and I will share details after, but we have some fun stuff going!
