This is a SUPER old DC talk song that has been running through my head since I talked to my dear friend at church yesterday. We were talking about all kinds of things, including our time and the things we do and don’t like to do. While we were talking we kind of laughed at how silly it is how lazy and undisciplined we can be.
The things we need and want to do really don’t take that much time per task… 15 minutes? Maybe 30 once a day, somethings only once a week. It really wouldn’t take much time to do these things and is really nothing that we should be complaining about. Our lives are no different from other ladies around us and it is amazing to see how much can get done when you use your time well and break it down little by little.
Today as I have been mulling it over I was laughing as I looked at the clocks in our home. Not one of them was correct or the same, save the iPad which is controlled by satellite. No wonder I feel like a crazy person!
I need order in my life. I need discipline. I need to use my time well. Not because I have to but because I want to honor the Lord and be a good steward of what He has given me. There will be freedom in using my time well. By having a process to get the mundane and routine things done I will be able to accomplish all of the fun dreams and goals that Gavin and I have. I can pack a lot more in my suitcase when everything is folded, rolled and organized. Why should I view my time as any different? I have a list of little things I need to do and a longer list of things I want to do. None of them would take more than an hour. Most only 15 minutes. Let me share with you how I plan to get all of these things done:
1. Don’t be lazy
2. Get up and put my big girl panties on and do it without complaining
Ladies it’s that easy 😉
