Today is our second wedding anniversary and time has flown by! I thought that I would share the vows that Gavin wrote and a few highlights of the day. I am so grateful for the relationship the Lord has given us, the time that has passed and they way that marriage has refined us. Gavin is such a blessing to me and a great leader and provider for our family. I am thankful that he takes his role as husband seriously and as a direct responsibility from the Lord. He is kind and gracious, always up for an adventure and keeps us laughing. He excels that the music, coaching, work, ministry, and mentoring that the Lord has given to Him and keeps his priorities in line. He is so even keeled and it takes a lot to get his feathers ruffled or cause him to worry. The Lord has grown him through life and I am blessed to be the recipient of his love, second only to Christ. Happy Anniversary Lovey. I treasure our life and look forward to beating out nana and papa’s 70+ years of marriage. We’ll get there!!
Here are our vows that Gav wrote:
I, Gavin, take you, Katie to be my beloved wife, to have and to hold, to honor, and to treasure from this day forward. I vow to regard you as more important than myself, and live with you in an understanding way. I vow to submit to Christ as I lead and to strive diligently to love you as He has loved His church. Recognizing that we were brought together for God’s glory, and that we are heirs together of the gracious gift of life, I vow to give you the best of my life, to cherish you and to love you as long as the Lord grants us breath.
